Handyman did a great job, company is a disgraceful money grab
The handyman did a great job. However, he did not complete the work and could not attach a bookcase properly because a screw was missing. He told me to get it, tell him through the chat when I have it and he would come back to finish the job free of charge (it takes 2 minutes to finish it). In the meantime, I gave the handyman 5 stars review, a 10% tip and I allowed him to charge 1h45min although he worked 1h31min. It is important for him to come back to put that screw as the bookcase is in my 5 year old's bedroom and needs to be properly secure or it may tip over and cause serious injuries. I got the missing screw but the chat with the handyman has been deactivated by TaskRabbit. I called Customer Service who refused to re-activate the chat and told me to book another appointment. Seriously? Is it TaskRabbit's work ethics?? The handyman did not finish the job, he admitted it himself, he offered to come back to finish the job as he knows it is just a 2 minute job. On top of that, I gave him 5 stars review, a 10% tip and I allowed him to charge an extra 14 minutes, yet TaskRabbit are trying to milk me and they don't care about the safety of my 5 year old child? The cabinet is not secure properly, the job is not complete. How low can one get? For what? A few quids? This is the most disgraceful handyman company ever, and I've dealt with bad ones in my life...

I booked a job and the person came but left early without finishing the job as required and there is no way to contact task rabbit for help.
They have just left it and if there are any concerns, they are not helping.
I will not be using them again.

So you cant chat with the person you give the job to before you make payment. So then you have to chat through messages and he tells me he wants another 65% extra for 'wire connection' bear in mind this was an electrical task and I made clear it would involve wire connection when I first submitted the task. So now I've had to cancel the task, wasted a week and will need to chase a refund. Ridiculous

What to say! I have got approval for the repar of damages the tasker has done on my floor. when I repeatedly sent a quote to Taskerrabit for the floor repair, here is their answer. Literally a joke.
We are very sorry to hear about this poor experience. Per our Terms of Service (terms.tr.co) and Happiness Pledge (pledge.tr.co), a claim needed to have been filed with our team by Apr 28th, 2022.
In addition, your claim for this task has been resolved on May 9th, 2022.
Unfortunately, any issues reported outside of the 14-day window are not covered by our Happiness Pledge. We would encourage you to contact your personal homeowner's or renter's insurance to inquire about your options going forward.

Unreliable service
There are some very good taskers but they are increasingly equalled by others who either cancel at the last minute or send belated 'I am on the way' messages at intervals but without specifics about when they might arrive. There can be genuine reasons for delay, and that is understood, but the similarity of the pattern does seem striking and I am beginning to wonder whether perhaps the hope of some who do this is that the booker may cancel so that they themselves do not have to (perhaps there is a financial dimension to that?). Current tasker is now two hours later than the latest time they were due to arrive and seems unwilling to put anything in the app. about when they plan to arrive.

I should have seen the red flags. Our Tasker was booked 7 days in advance but waited until the evening before the job to reschedule to 3.30pm, only after I reached out to change one of the long list of jobs we had (7 jobs). He then turned up 5pm. Was unfriendly and unapologetic when he arrived. Asked what jobs we had and was openly not pleased with the tasks we had. Said he needed some time to prepare the first task. Then without a word HE WALKED OUT OF THE HOUSE AND DRIVE AWAY. Only sending a message siting he had a conflict and couldn’t complete the task. What the actual f***?!
This was our first ever job.
I deleted my account immediately and will NEVER use the app again. Also tell everyone I can not to use these cowboys.
Also, TaskRabbit, spare me the BS automated response to this review. I see you and you’re a bunch of scammers.

Wrote a review months ago about being physically abused by their workers and they replied to my review with 'We have been able to locate your account and noticed that this is already being addressed by our dedicated Support Team' but never even responded to my emails. Worst company ever

Gary built my IKEA unit
Gary built my IKEA unit. He replied to my request on Taskrabbit very quickly and introduced himself. He had a photo on his profile for extra security. The date and time i asked for was no problem. He arrived on time and was very professional. He made sure I was happy with his work before he left. I would definitely recommend Gary and taskrabbit. This was the first time I had used Taskrabbit. It was easy to use.
